On behalf of the Trustees and Executor of the estate of Late Engr.John Ferguson; I once again try to notify you as my earlier letter was returned undelivered.
I hereby attempt to reach you again by this same email address stated on the WILL. I wish to notify you that late Engr.John Ferguson made you a beneficiary to his WILL. He left the sum of Seven Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars (USD$7,100.000.00 ) to you in the codicil and last testament to his WILL.
Being a widely travelled man, he must have been in contact with you in the past or simply you were recommended to him by one of his numerous friends abroad who wished you good. Engr.John Ferguson until his death was a member of the Helicopter Society and the Institute of Electronic & Electrical Engineers. He was a very dedicated Christian who loved to be involved in charitable projects. His great philanthropy earned him numerous awards during his life time. Late Engr.John Ferguson died on the 13th day of December, 2004 at the age of 80 years, and his WILL is now ready for execution.
According to him this money is to support your humanitarian activities and to help the poor and the needy in our society.
Please if I reach you this time as I am hopeful, endeavour to get back to me as soon as possible to enable me conclude my job.
I hope to hear from you in no distant time.

I too inherited via today's email. geez, how stupid do they think people are?
I am so upset with all these people trying to make a quick buck and wasting space and time!!!!!!!! Cant we do something about these people? Cant we lock them up or PUNISH them in some way?!!
I so received a email today, his IP is 209.191.126.213 good luck chasing this fool.
I get one of these e-mails several times a day seems like they could find these ass holes and lock them up!
This fool's new E-mail is christophermotleyesq@yahoo.ie and he send the same message to our Company' executive officer...
We are legal manufacturers of exotic weapons and silencers in Texas. Can you imagine someone trying to de-fraud money from us ?

You have put it in a nutshell. Of course you can report this sort of thing to any kind of police authority, but don't expect much to happen.
The Internet gives everyone global reach. That's fantastic, but unfortunately we still live in a world full of independent countries.
Catching this type of crook means having an international method of in place to do just that. And that does not exist in our world.
Even if police cooperation with African countries existed, not much would happen because of the corruption which rules the everyday lives of all Africans, big and small.
So yes, apart from actively Scambaiting the crooks, there is not much we can do individually.
What you can do is, educate everybody you know about this kind of crime. We can achieve a lot that way.
Such an important law firm with a yahoo email account? Who does he think we are? Give me a break!
I got the same email today.. exactly the same one... exactly the same guy named Ferguson who died... What is the deal.. I know it's a scam but what is this person trying to accomplish? I guess I'm asking -- what is his plan to get into my wallet?
They always want you to pay a fee for taxes, notaries, lawyers or anything else they think of.
